Understanding Our Bernedoodle Generations:
We offer both F1 and F1b Mini Bernedoodles, each with unique qualities to fit different families and preferences.
F1 Mini Bernedoodles:
F1 Bernedoodles are a first-generation cross, meaning they are 50% Bernese Mountain Dog and 50% Mini Poodle. This balance creates a wonderful mix of traits from both breeds.
- Typically have wavy to slightly curly coats
- Low shedding (varies by puppy)
- Great balance of playful and calm temperament
- Ideal for families who love the Bernese Mountain Dog, but want reduced shedding
- Adult weight will range between 35-45 pounds
F1b Mini Bernedoodles:
F1b Bernedoodles are created by breeding an F1 Bernedoodle back to a Mini Poodle, making them approximately 75% Poodle and 25% Bernese Mountain Dog. This generation is especially popular for allergy-conscious families. Their higher Poodle genetics influence both coat type and shedding level.
